Day 7 Passover

This is a late posting:

Let us start with a short prayer:
“YHvaH I pray, if I have found grace in your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know you and I may find grace in your sight.”

Introduction: So begins day 7 tonight at sunset. We are quickly approaching the feast. Abraham, Moses/ the to be Hebrews, and Messiah are well in route to the Elohim plan.

I.Day 7 Genesis 22:7

7And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

Please Read These Chapters for yourself:
Gen 22
Exodus 12
Luke 18-19:26

The Story Line (tell these to the kids): Today (began last sundown) marks the seventh day for God's people. There are three connected stories in history for this date. The first storyline is going to be Abraham's, the second Moses', and the third Jesus'.

Abraham (Gen. 22): Some time long ago, most likely on this day, Abraham has already approached the location of Mount Moriah with his son Isaac (actually scripture does say the 3rd day) Now they leave the servants and Abraham proclaims "we will return". Notice the "we". Lets make Abraham and his understanding a little more clear. He is also recorded as saying "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering" Verse 8 Do you believe he is talking about Isaac? I don't. The intention was never for Abraham to offer his son, nor was it solely to "test" Abraham. This story serves another purpose, one that will come thousands of years later.

Moses (Exodus 12): By now you should be observing the moon change rapidly. Its getting larger every night. The full moon will occur at just the right climax in our feast. Today (or close to today) Moses gives the directions that follow in ch. 12. We will refer back to these directions. "this is a day you are to commemorate;for the generations to come"- verse 14

Jesus: (Luke 18- 19:26) Yeshua (Jesus' Hebrew name) has now left for Jerusalem and is well on his way. Look at all the stories that come from this journey. The parables over this time are foundational, select one to read to your children explaining when this is occurring, then cross reference with the other Gospels. Look for other stories that take place in this time. When you read about Jericho understand we are getting close to Jerusalem or day 10 (maybe you have a map in your bible of this journey).

Closings: I would like to hear stories of how this is going in your families. Are you teaching your children? Are you learning yourself? Are you sold out? Are you wimping out? Is it just too inconvenient? Are their questions? Do you challenge/disagree with something? Additional scripture reading that should be included.

Passover 2010

Hello to all, let us start with a short prayer:
“YHvaH I pray, if I have found grace in your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know you and I may find grace in your sight.”

Introduction: So here it is 9:52 pm and I'm beginning this 1st letter. Am I late? Surly I intended for you to get this earlier. Well not quite, the earliest I could have began this new day was at sundown. We need to shift our thinking forever. From now on, your no longer going to conform to the synthetic clock on the wall or your wrist. Let the creator decide the new day- and he has. In Genesis: there was evening and morning the 1st day. When did it start? Evening and then morning. So start your day at sunset.

I.Beginnings- Day 1 Exodus 12:1-3

“1 Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 “This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. 3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: ‘On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household.”

Please Read These Chapters for yourself:
Gen 22
Exodus 11, 12
Luke 16,17

Before the Story: The passover is a picture, appointed feast, and historical event. If you want to follow the command and teach this to your children read them/ teach them the below parts. Word of caution * Don't back out, read them the stories in pieces. The Abraham story should be hard for you to read to your son's. And your son should ask those hard questions. “Daddy would you kill me if God asked you to?” Let the spirit answer. These are important ideas because it will be the story of God and his Son that we ultimately deal with. The interaction between you and your son will help shape the understanding for later events and God's love. Skip them now and you'll lose the lesson. I'm often asked why do you need to kill a lamb, couldn't you just buy some lamb at the grocery? Why do you cook it outside, couldn't you just bake it in the oven? Well you need to make up your mind at this point. Either you dive in and attempt all the nitty gritty or go buy a Twinkie -call it a lamb, sit at a restaurant- call it your home, “disfiguring this festival until all object lessons are lost”. This may seem like legalism to some of you, from which I'm freed in Christ, but remember I'm not doing this because it's needed as a work, this is an object lesson straight from the creator. Join the Feast!

The Story Line (tell these to the kids): Today (began last sundown) marks the first day for Gods people. There are three connected stories in history for this date. The first storyline is going to be Abraham's, the second Moses', and the third Jesus'.

Abraham (Gen. 22): Some time long ago, most likely on this day, Abraham heard God in a dream. It occurred last night and the command was to walk to Mount Moriah some 60 miles away. He gets up this morning (that's today) and leaves. A mountain would be identified when he approached, and on that mountain he was to give his beloved son Isaac as a sacrifice to the God of Creation- Passover.

Moses (Exodus 11): About 4,000 years ago on this day Moses and Aaron were told “ this month is to be the first month”. This would have been a lunar month a new moon (No moon, Moon Phases). In fact this is true today, did you doubt? March 15, at 21:01 is an official new moon for this year (thus I began also on Day 1). Go outside with your kids and point this out and tell them this marks Day 1 (It should be a slight sliver by the time you see it, it will be a full moon in 14.75 days, this will be passover, you could watch the moon with you children marking the days until passover). Why is this important? Shortly before this Moses has informed Pharaoh that the LORD, at about midnight, will go throughout Egypt killing the firstborn. This will occur in 14 days- Passover

Jesus: (Luke 16, 17) About 2,000 years ago, most likely on this day or around it, Jesus set out for Jerusalem from Galilee (17:11). You can choose any story from ch.16 or 17 and read it for Jesus' narrative. You may also want to review who Jesus is (The Son of God, a part of The Elohim). I'll quickly choose the story of Abraham and Lazarus (16:19). Notice how it ends, “they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.” - that's called foreshadow. *If you missed it- other foreshadowing events; the entire story of Abraham and Isaac, and the loss of the firstborn. Unless their one of God's chosen thus covered by the blood of a lamb, or should I say The lamb.

Preparing for the Feast:

Lets begin with some goals

1)Worship
2)Gain revelation as to the LORDS design and purposes
3)Marvel in your gift of spirit and the appointment of this time and place for you

In order to accomplish these goals you will need to prepare your heart and mind each day

1)Pray for wisdom
2)Read the scriptures referenced/ and others the spirit suggests
3)Take time to stop, rearrange and trust- Participate
